Editing a Service Appointment

Editing a Service Appointment involves updating client-specific and service-specific details, which is more complex than editing other types of appointments. Here is how to edit a Service Appointment:

1. Navigate to the Schedule

  • Go to Schedule from the left-hand menu.

2. Select the Service Appointment to Edit

  • Locate the appointment you want to edit from the list.

  • Click on the Edit icon (pencil icon) next to the appointment. This will open the Edit Service Appointment modal.

3. Edit Service Appointment Details

  • In the Edit Service Appointment modal, you can modify the following fields:

    • Client: Select or change the client for the appointment.

    • Staff List: Choose the staff member assigned to this appointment.

    • Service: Choose the type of service being provided.

    • Type: Select the service type (e.g., Direct, Supervision, etc.).

    • Place of Service: Indicate the location where the service is being provided.

    • Staff Paycode: Choose the paycode relevant to the staff member.

    • Start Date: Set or change the start date.

    • Start Time: Adjust the start time.

    • End Time: Adjust the end time.

    • Address: Enter or select location for the appointment.

4. Additional Alerts and Warnings

  • Units Warning: If the selected units fall outside the allowed range for the funding source, a warning will appear (e.g., "Selected 8.00 units is outside the allowed range of 1 - 5 units..."). Make sure to adjust the units accordingly.

  • Rendering Warning: If the appointment is already rendered, a warning will indicate that "claims and processed timesheets will not be updated." Be mindful when editing already rendered appointments as it might affect downstream processes.

5. Save Changes

  • After making the desired changes, click the Save button to update the appointment.

6. Cancel Changes

  • If no changes are needed, click the Cancel button to exit without saving.

🔔Important Notes

Service Appointments have more fields to consider compared to other appointment types, as they are tied to specific clients, authorizations, and service requirements.
